There are a number of versions in this series like windows 8, 8.1 and now I have just installed windows 8.1 update. Now say what you’ll about the naming and versioning scheme this is definitely one that’s worth upgrading to. This update to Windows 8.1 Pro is seemed very useful.

There are a couple of things that have happened when you first startup on your desktop the store is going to be pinned on your taskbar. So you can now pin full-screen windows store apps. These tiles can also be resized. You can just pick them up and move around which is a fun and nice improvement. It a lot easier to use the mouse to move things around your start screen now. When you move the mouse to the top of the screen the title bar appears and then I can hit and minimize.

You can also split the screen by just go to the store, click on the corner in the system menu and split right now. That was always possible before you would grab hold at the top of the screen, pull down and then move over to the right. So windows 8.1 pro update is a lot easier for keyboard and mouse work.

Another significant change you’ll notice is the power button. It appears now on the top. You can search for things just by clicking, no need to go over to the right-hand menu.

2) By right-clicking on the taskbar you’ll see a few other new and amazing options I’ve ever seen. Check them out on your own desktop.

3) The other feature that we’ve is if you’ve windows key on your keyboard, there is now a unified search function, so what you can do is search, it’ll use Bing and it will search not just for things on the web but also search for things on your computer.

4) Back in Windows 8, the original version came out, there was a feature where we could run apps side by side. So it doesn’t really look good when you’re running them side by side. A lot of users out there like this idea of multitasking despite the fact that the human brain is technically and capable of multitasking, but you can have two things open at once. I just don’t feel like it’s a good experience. Now the split screen of the windows 8 and windows 8.1 pro is not new. What is new is that you have a few different sizes that you can use.

5) For those who use multiple displays or if you have got a really high-resolution display, you’ll be happy to learn that now in settings there are a lot more viewing options. You can also change the orientation of the monitor from horizontal to vertical.

6) The next feature is a wonderful one. Glad that they did this. This should have been out when windows 8 originally came out. There is now finally a tutorial app that comes pre-installed. So get the advantage of this app, you can see the tips and tutorials to walk you through everything.
