The Enhanced Compass Application for Mazda Connect is an replacement for the Compass application. It features the original information like Compass Rose, Latitude, Longitude and Altitude plus a moving map that can be extended with POI, potential traffic. Simple routing is also supported in online and cached(offline) mode.

With the Mazda unit all you can take in doors is the memory card and once it is attached to you PC the there is no option to operate the sat nav functions except add voices etc and update the software map and opsys sorry. Back when we only had stand-alone units, I bought a TomTom at the start of their failed MyTomTom rollout. One of those features, Bluetooth connectivity, helps you stay connected to the outside world while on the road. This includes the ability to send and receive text messages through the Mazda Connect system, so read on to learn how to send a text message using Mazda Connect.

The idea behind this project is to offer an alternative to the optional Navigation Software. Most of the time it is enough to have a moving map to successfully navigate to a destination or find a place.

This software is compatible with all Mazda's equipped with the Infotainment starting with version 27.x.

Note: Screen includes a prototype of the POI database which will be part of the next release.
